This printmaking project relates to my last post in that both methods use styrofoam peanuts to create the designs. In this case, I dipped the peanuts in rubber cement and pressed the peanuts onto a sheet of white watercolor paper. When the rubber cement dried I painted the entire sheet of paper with diluted blue acrylic paint. When the paint dried I rubbed away the rubber cement and was left with the white designs. I repeated the process of dipping the peanuts in rubber cement and pressing them into the paper. After the glue dried, I covered the sheet with diluted yellow acrylic paint, let the paint dry and then rubbed off the rubber cement.
